Youth Platoon

What is Youth Platoon?

Welcome to Youth Platoon - a supportive space where teens share experiences, find validation and gain insights under the guidance of a trained therapist.

Here, they discover they're not alone, build resilience, and develop essential interpersonal skills. Through mutual support and accountability, adolescents grow both personally and socially, learning to navigate life's challenges with confidence and strength.

Welcome to a journey of insight and growth.

Our services

Our program aims to:

Teach healthy ways to deal with and understand thoughts and emotions.

Provide support and guidance for the struggles young people face today.

Prevent issues from arising and deepening to a point where they can no longer be ignored.

Our services

Our program aims to:

Teach healthy ways to deal with and understand thoughts and emotions.

Provide support and guidance for the struggles young people face today.

Prevent issues from arising and deepening to a point where they can no longer be ignored.

Prevention before Intervention

The founding idea of Youth Platoon is that young people would do well to build up their emotional wellbeing, innate resilience, social skills and other vital tools so that they can enjoy their teenage years and go on to become successful adults. Much of the problematic behaviour that we see in teenagers today is caused by the unhealthy coping strategies that they revert to if faced with times of challenge. Therefore, once the right skills to deal with their challenges are instilled in them, the need for unhealthy behaviour would be removed.

Benefits

Upon completion of the course, participants:

  • Receive an NOCN endorsed certification of completion, making participants more employable in future.
  • Develop a strong foundation of emotional intelligence which can enhance their personal and professional relationships
  • Gain a better understanding of themselves, leading to improved self-esteem and self-confidence
  • Learn to manage stress effectively, leading to improved overall health and wellbeing
  • Acquire skills that can help them navigate life’s challenges with resilience and adaptability

Our course is totally unique. Here’s what sets it apart.

  • Endorsment: Youth Platoon is endorsed by Dayan Zobin, and the staff that teach the courses are only the most highly qualified and trained.

  • Bespoke Course: Our course has been written by an Orthodox Jewish psychotherapist specifically to cater to the needs of Orthodox Jewish young people.
  • Top facilitation: Youth Platoon is commited to providing a highly professional service at all times. That's why the courses are always delivered by trained and qualified Orthodox Jewish facilitators. The number of facilitators to group participants is always matched to the ratio of 4:1 which is above the recommended ratio.
  • Experiential Learning: All the teaching is done experientially using games, role-playing and group discussion.
  • Qualification: We believe that the value of our course should extend beyond practical skills, which is the reason for the NOCN (National Open College Network) Endorsed Certificate presented to each participant upon completion of the course. This certificate is like a Continued Proffesional Development (CPD) qualification which gives the holder opportunities in future employment.
  • Mainstream: Part of our core belief is that the teaching of these skills is key to preventing emotional hardship in later life. That's why our program is mainstreamed, aimed at neurotypical young people.

  • Cost: Youth Platoon believes that this course is vital for everyone and therefore it is offered to all for free, apart from a small deposit.
